York

This is a PAWS-A-WHILE don't miss attraction.

The City of York, a place of immense historical significance, should be at the
top of any itinerary to Yorkshire. The Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Normans, and the
Vikings, to name a few, all played major rolls into making York one of the most
historical cities in the UK, if not within Western Europe.

A historical city York may be, but it also boasts some of the finest attractions like
York Minster, the National Railway Museum, the Shambles, the Market, Merchant's
Hall, the Castle Museum, shopping, eating, and, not without its own charm, depending
upon your sense of humour, the amusing "Rising Bollard". Only York could come up with
a traffic control device like that! There is a link to York on the PAWS links page.

York, a very historical city.

A few images of York including the "Rising Bollard".
